The Original Mechanical Room Flood Door from PS Flood Barriers® – designed and tested to meet FM standards – is one of the most progressive products in the flood-protection market, serving as both a flood-protection barrier for your mechanical room and a normal-use pedestrian door. Always in place, this door provides unmatched flood protection for your building’s critical infrastructure.
This door is specifically designed to protect electrical rooms, boiler rooms, wastewater pump stations/treatment plants and emergency backup generator rooms. Available in mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum construction. Standard or custom sizes available.
While our Original Mechanical Room Flood Door is ideal for situations that require a FM rated flood door, PS Flood Barriers® has recently introduced a purpose-built Hydro1® Mechanical Room Flood Door that features the lowest leakage rate in the industry. The new Hydro1 doors have been third-party witness tested to 3′ and 20′ water protection heights with 50% less leakage then the ANSI/FM 2510 Section 4.3.3 standard (hardware included). The Hydro1 doors have not yet been FM rated, but are ideal for all other situations where a FM door is not required.
