PS Flood Barriers™ is a division of PS Industries, an industry-leading manufacturer of flood protection products, industrial doors (PS Access Solutions™), safety/fall protection products (PS Safety Access™) and sneeze guards/protective shields (PS Public Protection™). With custom fabrication capabilities, we serve a wide variety of industries, including the military, energy, agriculture, food processing and all types of manufacturing. Our customers includes NASA, the United Nations, Miller-Coors, Con Edison, Grainger, Xcel Energy, New York City Transit Authority and thousands of others.
Established in 1974 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, PS Industries got its start as a full-service distributor of industrial doors. Soon thereafter we started to manufacturer our own products, and in the early 1980s, we were asked to design a watertight flood protection barrier for a lift station. We applied our knowledge of custom manufacturing and rugged design to develop our very first flood barrier product, the Lift-Out Flood Barrier. We continued to manufacture custom flood barriers upon request, and eventually we developed the PS Flood Barriers brand, with its foundations in innovative design, solid engineering and high quality manufacturing. In 1997, we learned even more about the incredible power of water firsthand during the Red River’s disastrous flood in our hometown of Grand Forks. We put those lessons to good use, and today we have a host of flood barrier products to protect facilities, critical infrastructure and assets from devastating flooding.
