The Hydro1® (PD-520 and PD-522) Flood Door from PS Flood Barriers™ provides passive flood protection that has passed testing for Florida Product Approval, including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (Miami-Dade and Broward counties) – FL #39631.
The evaluation process for Florida Product Approval is extremely rigorous and includes testing for resistance to high wind forces (TAS 201, TAS 202, TAS 203) and ongoing auditing of quality assurance programs. In addition, because Miami-Dade and Broward counties are included in the HVHZ, it adheres to the most stringent requirements of the Florida Building Code.
The full line of Hydro1 doors feature the lowest leakage rate in the industry with a unique one-piece perimeter gasket that creates a water tight seal. These custom doors have been independent-party witness tested to 3′ and 20′ water protection heights and are available in three models: a pedestrian flood door, a 90 minute fire rated flood door and a mechanical room flood door.
